Letter from the President – September 17, 2020

Dear Fellow Master Bowlers of Alberta,

Our September 27th Teaching and Seniors tournament has been postponed to December 6th. AHS announced on September 15th that we could have tournaments. We are working with Bowl Alberta and AHS to determine how our sport is able to safely have tournaments while meeting AHS guidelines.

Please keep in touch with your zone directors and watch for posting of our tournament dates in all divisions throughout the year on our website. The first Seniors and Teaching tournament is now scheduled for November 8.

Please note that there is no guarantee that the MBAC National Championships will be held in 2021 due to the Covid-19 virus. We are going to continue to try to run tournaments as scheduled. Stars will be given out to tournament winners as in previous years. We encourage everyone to sign up for tournaments a week in advance. This will help our zone directors and proprietors set up lane draws. Attached in the email and online you will find a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Indemnity Agreement form which must be filled out and given to your zone director before you are able to participate in a tournament. A second Declaration/Questionnaire form is also attached. This Declaration/Questionnaire form must be completed for EACH MBA of A tournament you participate in and handed in to your zone director at the start of each tournament.

We thank you all for your membership which supports our association .Be safe.

BrianRossetti – President Master Bowlers Association of Alberta

A Letter From The President

Hello Fellow Master Bowlers,
We welcome you to another season, the most interesting season we will have had
in the history of our association. We want to thank you all for your support by
joining our association again this year. Your membership dues help us run our
association. This is especially important this season due to our decreased funding
including Casino funding, funds from running tournaments and a reduction in
funds received from the province.
We want everyone to stay safe and follow provincial Alberta Health Services
guidelines as we progress through the year. Please work closely with your local
proprietors who are working hard to ensure our Y.B.C. bowlers and coaches are
both safe yet still have fun in our sport.

We are also working with Bowl Alberta and Alberta 5 Pin Bowlers Association
closely to safely run our tournaments. We will run our tournaments as we are
permitted with AHS. We may have to change tournament dates and times as we
try to get a full season in to create an Alberta contingent for this years Nationals
in Edmonton. We will try to stick to our schedule the best we can throughout the
year. Please understand that we will be doing the best we can under the
circumstances.

We continue to plan to host this years Nationals at Bonnie Doon Lanes June 28
(early arrivals) June 29th (opening ceremonies) until July 4, 2021(departures). Our
host hotel is the Fantasyland Hotel. Please contact Mark Johnstone 780-452-3228
as we will need many volunteers to help make this a smooth Championship.
Sincerely,
Brian Rossetti – President – Master Bowlers Association of Alberta
