Teaching and Senior Division Results – 4 th Tournament

Davina Cassie of Edmonton won the 4 th North Division Ladies tournament with a +111. In the South,
Karen Tanke of Drumheller won with a +279.
On the men’s side Grant Modahl of Lac La Biche won the North with a +311. Russ Foster from Redcliff
was the South winner with a +235.
In the Senior POA Division, Murray Adair of Pincher Creek won with a +191.
In the Senior Scratch Division, Greg Gigliuk of Red Deer won with a score of 1928. It was the second win
of the year.
Congratulations to all of the Teaching and Senior Division winners! Best of luck to everyone at the
upcoming Provincials. Remember, if your name appears above the black line on the results sheet, you have qualified for Provincials. Make sure that you have sent in your averages as of March 7, 2022. Dorry requires this by March 11, 2022.

If you have qualified to bowl and you do not plan to attend, please let your Tournament Director know no

Upcoming Teaching and Senior Division Provincials

With the Teaching and Senior Division Provincials just around the corner, here are a few of reminders.

  • Dorry has asked that you please check in for the Teaching Division by 8:45. Please note the start time
    for the tournament is 9:00 am.
  • The cost for both Teaching and Senior Divisions will be $100.00 for the weekend, regardless of
    your age.
  • Please remember that if you qualify for the National Team, you will be required to
    purchase 2 elimination draw tickets so bring a bit of extra cash to take care of this.
    *We do advise if you are not well please stay home.

Coaching Resumes

The deadline for resumes for Teaching and Senior divisions is before the first ball is thrown on the last
day of the Provincial tournament. The deadline for the Tournament division is before the first ball is
thrown on the morning of the final tournament.

Please forward your resumes to your Provincial Teaching Division or Provincial Senior Division Director, or
to the MBA of A office.

Assessment Fee for Non-Participating Masters

Please note that any non-participating Master who wishes to coach at the National level will be required to pay a $500.00 assessment fee. Coaches need to have participated in at least three tournaments to avoid paying this assessment.

Tournament #1 & 2 – October 15 and 16, 2022– Location TBA
Tournament #3 & 4 – January 7 and 8, 2023– Location TBA
Tournament #5 & 6 – March 25 and 26, 2023– Location TBA

Master/Youth Tournament: October 22 and 23, 2022 – Paradise Lanes – Calgary
Master/YBC: March 5, 2023 – Heritage Lanes – Red Deer

National Dates

The 2020 Nationals will be held in Edmonton, Alberta from July 1, 2022 – July 5, 2022.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kerry
Wood Nature Centre in Red Deer. (6300 45 Avenue, Red Deer – 403-346-2010)
If you are planning on attending the AGM and are using your GPS to find it, it will not likely recognize
Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Please use Waskasoo Park as your destination for GPS purposes.
