Teaching and Senior Division Results – 4th Tournament
Verna Erikson of Sedgewick won the 4th North Division Ladies tournament with a +147. In the South, Linda Seitz of Calgary won with a +176. Linda has won two tournaments this year!
On the men’s side Mark Patterson from Edmonton won the North with a +55. Rob Miklos from Lethbridge was the South winner with a +253.
In the Senior POA Division, Bev Gigliuk of Red Deer won with a +224. This is Bev’s third win as a senior and she has 8 wins overall.
In the Senior Scratch Division, Greg Gigliuk won with a score of 2027. Greg has won 7 tournaments as a senior and he now has 14 wins overall.
Congratulations to all of the Teaching and Senior Division winners! Best of luck to everyone at the upcoming Provincials.
Remember, if your name appears above the black line on the results sheet, you have qualified for Provincials.
Make sure that you have sent in your averages as of February 25, 2018. Dorry or Rhod require this by March 3, 2018.
If you have qualified to bowl and you do not plant to attend, please let your Tournament Director know no later than March 8. This makes it much easier for setting up the tournament

Upcoming Teaching and Senior Division Provincials
With the Teaching and Senior Division Provincials just around the corner, here are a few of reminders.
* Dorry and Rhod have asked that you please check in for the Teaching Division by 12:45.
* Seniors, check the end of the newsletter for possible hotels that you could stay in at the
provincials in Red Deer.**
* The cost for both Teaching and Senior Divisions will be $90.00 for the weekend, regardless of your age.
please remember that if you qualify for the National Team, you will be required to purchase 2 elimination draw tickets so bring a bit of extra cash to take care of this. Thank you
Coaching Resumes
The deadline for resumes for Teaching and Senior divisions is before the first ball is thrown on the last day of the Provincial tournament.
Please forward your resumes to your Provincial Teaching Division or Provincial Senior Division Director, or to the MBA of A office.

Assessment Fee for Non-Participating Masters
Please note that any non-participating Master who wishes to coach at the National level will be required to pay a $300.00 assessment fee.
Annual YBC Scholarship Tournament
Bowl Alberta is also holding their annual Youth Scholarship Tournament. This is to be held May 19 & 20, 2018 at Heritage Lanes, Red Deer. This tournament is a scratch/handicap event, including singles, doubles, and 3 player teams.

Youth Camp Notice
The Alberta Youth Bowling Camp will be held from August 16 – 19, 2018 at Red Deer College in Red Deer. If you are interested in coaching or assisting with the Youth Camp, please contact Grady Long in Edmonton at 780-422-8251 or download the coach’s application form at www.bfab.ca and click on the FORMS tab.
Registration forms for the bowlers and coaches are available at your local bowling center, as well as posted on the BPA website at www.bfab.ca
