How to be a great team member. We have many bowlers attending nationals. It might be the time to

remember what it takes to be great team member, it takes more than skills.

Casino Volunteers

We had a successful Casino on March 8 and 9. With some last-minute people, we were able to fill all the volunteer

positions we needed to hold the casino. It was awesome that some people travelled a great distance to be there to

support the Masters. Jenny drove all the way from Grande Prairie. There were some who sent their mothers or

wives to volunteer to make sure this happened. Don Sim, the stalwart of the association, has never missed

volunteering since I’ve have been around. He was there till 3o’clock in the morning. There was even a friend of a

senior member came to help and fill out the roster. Jamey again did an outstanding job organizing it. After some

nail biting, some folks cancelled last minute, she again pulled through. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We would

never be able to send a contingent to nationals without charging more fees at tournaments, selling chocolate bars (it

would take thousands of them to make up what we earn at a casino) or charging a contingent a fee to attend

nationals. We are the only province last does not do that. In fact each person gets a per diem.

Here is the list of volunteers. If you see them, please say thank you to them. Especially if you have attended

nationals or going this year. You know what a special experience that is. These are the people who made it possible

again. Maybe next time you might consider volunteering.
