Tournament Division

The tournament division men and ladies have completed their final tournaments.

Congratulations to Jenna Lamoureux who won the 5th tournament with a score of 2194 and the 6h tournament with a score of 2120.  Yes, she won both tournaments. She now has 5 tournament wins.

On the men’s side Shelby Chrest won the 5th tournament with a score of 2356, his first win. Bradly Tytgat was the winner of the 6th with a score of 2288, his eighth win.

Congratulations to the following Tournament Division bowlers who have now qualified for Nationals:

The men’s singles representative is Bradly Tytgat of Edmonton and Jenna Lamoureaux of Morinville is the ladies’ singles representative.

The ladies’ team is made up of Heidi Mapstone, Christine Pocza, Jennifer Smith, Jennifer Schwartz, Bonnie McDonald.  The coach of the ladies’ team is Geoff Wilson.

The tournament men’s team consists of Dexter Wiseman, Matt Schultz, Tyler Tytgat, Rylan Willier and Shelby Chrest.  The men’s coach will be Harvey Pocza.

Congratulations to everyone and best of luck to all of you in Surrey.

Teaching and Senior Division Results – Provincial Tournament

The Teaching and Senior Division completed their provincial tournaments.  The teams have been chosen to attend Nationals in Surrey, B.C..  Congratulations to all bowlers!

The Teaching Division were held at the Panorama Lanes in Medicine Hat.

The following are tentative tournament dates for next season.  

More information will follow in the August newsletter regarding tournament sites and times.  

Teaching & Senior Divisions:
Tournament #1 – September 21, 2025
Tournament #2 – November 2, 2025
Tournament #3 – January 4, 2026
Tournament #4 – February 22, 2026

Teaching & Senior Division Provincials:  
March 14 and 15, 2026

Tournament Division:        
Tournament #1 & 2 – October 4 and 5, 2025– Location TBA
Tournament #3 & 4 – January 3 and 4, 2026– Location TBA                                                                   Tournament #5 & 6 – March 21 and 22, 2026– Location TBA

Master/Youth Tournament: 

October 25 and 26, 2025- Paradise Lanes – Calgary

Master/YBC:  March 1, 2026– Heritage Lanes – Red Deer

 National Dates
The 2024 Nationals will be held in Surrey British Columbia from June 23, 2025 – June 28, 2025.  The participants will be flying out on June 23 and returning home on June 28, 2025. The opening ceremonies will be held on June 23. 
 Annual General Meeting
The date for this year’s AGM is Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre in Red Deer (6300 45 Avenue, Red Deer – (403-346-2010). Please mark this in your calendar and plan to attend.  If you are planning on attending the AGM and are using your GPS to find it, it will not likely recognize Kerry Wood Nature Centre.  Please use Waskasoo Park as your destination for GPS purposes. 
Competitive Coaching Clinics
If you are looking to have a competitive coach clinic or community coach clinic set up, please direct your enquiries through Ryan Pasko, our Technical Director for Alberta.  Ryan will endeavor to set up a clinic for you and will either do the clinic himself or assign a course conductor to present the course.  This is the Technical Directors responsibility
